Sander Rubin served in several positions in American Mensa in its early days of the 1960s and 1970s, including chairman for two terms from 1969 to 1973. Following his final term as chairman, he served on the American Mensa Hearings Committee, despite having been opposed to the newly-enacted provision which composed this committee of past chairmen; however, no hearings were held during his tenure. Subsequently, he has run unsuccessfully three times for the chairman position, most recently in 2005, and is active on some online forums related to Mensa politics. He is the founder and list owner of M-Pol. He has an interest in philosophy, particularly existentialism.
