Through 1967, Mensa Canada was part of North American Mensa along with what is now American Mensa. The 1967 AG was held in Montreal (after several earlier North American AGs held in the New York area), at which Mensa Canada formally separated, and held its own separate AG from then on. Several joint AGs with American Mensa have been held since, one in Montreal and the rest in U.S. cities.
