Rose Lee Crutcher was the AG chairman. Much debate regarding the proposed new international Constitution of Mensa took place during this gathering, and one of the proposed versions was known as the "Louisville" proposal.

The Galt House in Louisville was also the site of the 1973 AG, and would eventually be the site of the 2015 AG.
