Greater Los Angeles Area Mensa (GLAAM) is one of the largest local groups in American Mensa.
Its newsletter is currently known as L.A. Mentary, but was formerly called Lament. In 1994, under editor Nikki Frey, it published some controversial articles seeming to advocate the killing off of the less mentally gifted, which precipitated a big political controversy that got into the mainstream news media.
