The 1979 Annual Gathering of American Mensa, KCAG-79, was held in Kansas City, Missouri at the Crown Center Hotel. It lasted from June 29 through July 1. There were 900 attendees. Charley Gay was the AG chairman. The AG would return there in 1991.
