Bob Beatty was the Chairman of American Mensa from 1999 to 2001. He resigned for health reasons after his doctor objected to the high level of stress he was receiving in the position and how it was affecting his heart. Beatty had been in political conflict with others on the American Mensa Committee, most notably Dave Remine.
