:Because the Sec Secretary at the time, Pete Baimbridge, set it up that way. It's a common practice in the UK; .org and .org.uk are costlier and I think .org.uk requires the registrant to jump through hoops to prove their organisational status. Because the Sec Secretary at the time, Pete Baimbridge, set it up that way. It's a common practice in the UK; .org and .org.uk are costlier and I think .org.uk requires the registrant to jump through hoops to prove their organisational status.
