John Thorp is an IT consultant living in London. Within Mensa he is the Regional Officer for London, the lead organiser for the 2007 British Mensa Annual Gathering, and with Bronagh Miskelly he organised the Mensa's Golden celebrations in 1996.
In the 1990s John was Regional Officer (or more exactly, its predecessor role "ALGO" or "Assistant Local Groups Officer") for the North West of England, making him possibly the only person to have managed two regions.
