The 1977 Annual Gathering of American Mensa was held in San Diego, California at the Town & Country Hotel. It lasted from June 23rd through June 25th. There were 785 attendees. Jim Bie was the AG chairman.
The troubles San Diego Mensa would have later on, resulting in great infighting and a schismatic splinter group breaking off, were still a decade in the future at this point.
