M-Grapevine is an unofficial discussion list hosted on Yahoo Groups, where issues of Mensa politics are discussed. It was founded by Barbara Kryvko. Standards of politeness and decorum are enforced by its moderators through sanctions ranging from warnings to "vacations" from the list; it was in reaction to this that M-Pol was founded in order to offer a more freewheeling, less controlled forum. Still, people in power within Mensa have sometimes dismissed M-Grapevine as a forum for malcontents; it has been referred to as "GripeWhine".
